They've nearly finished covering the roof and you can really see how the porch will look now.
They've framed the roof for the garage and added the overhangs for the bay window and the front porch, both of which are now looking a lot bigger than expected.
It's been raining pretty hard all week, so we were pleasantly surprised to see that they'd actually managed to get something done. As we rounded the corner, we could see the frame of our roof peering over the other houses.
They've started framing the roof, and the house is really starting to look more like the picture. Okay, maybe the picture's skeleton. Here you can see the 'witch's hat' on top of the bay window in the master bedroom. The ceiling underneath will also be raised and we tried to get a pic from inside (Richard even got all covered in sawdust as a result) but it didn't turn out. Just take my word for it - it's really neat. They've added the ceiling beams to the entire second floor, and I got a shot of the master bath ceiling which will also be raised. Update for our own, personal house adventures: we've now chosen the marble for the master bathroom, and all the plumbing fixtures. Oh yeah, and the color of the front door. You're thrilled, I can tell.
